hmm. okay though i hate the ads, its a new place for me to start posting hahah, with no tagboard as well. I AM SO LAZY SERIOUSLY, I CANT BRING MYSELF TO TYPE A PROPER POST ON MISSION TRIP >.<

27 days in the new year have passed so quickly!

1st - wii at jon's house then dinner.
2nd - nothing.
3rd - 1st rangers programme of the year! FCF tutorial.
4th - vision sunday, mentoring introduction.
5th - stayed home.
6th - leon's house for fun!
7th - nothing.
8th - ngee ann poly open house, then prayer meeting.
9th - singapore poly, nanyang poly open house, visited shawn's grandma and xide's dad in ang mo kio hospital.
10th - rangers gold bar staff meeting, prayer and praise.
11th - sunday service where we did trust fall!

12th - went back to school to take my olevel results! met norman, dilys, shawn and leon.

today was pretty good, shocker to me lah. though hoping it was 6, that's where my 3 A2s had to pull me down heh. but well, i'll still thank God, cause 9pts isn't too bad afterall! God has seen me through and i believe He has a plan for me where i am going. now to decide my school. JC? hahahah yes i think so. i'm looking forward to a new start, a new hope and a new goal to strive towards. God give me peace :D

13th - stayed at home, i think.
14th - at home again. should be hahaha.
15th - spititual emphasis in church, with shawn, leon, norman, dilys. *busy baking the oreo cheesecakse at night! hahah*
16th - spiritual emphasis in church, with leon and dilys.
17th - had lunch with leon, shawn, jonathan. then after rangers, shawn's birthday surprise and ER dinner at Thai Express Esplanade.
18th - sunday service! youth vision casting.
19th - was i slacking? hmmmm.
20th - i think its the same too.
21st - again, i was doing nothing i think.
22nd - TENNIS! with edina, shawn and leon, wii at leon's house. then prayer with darren chee hahahah

23rd - movie (passengers) with edina, luana, dilys, shawn, leon. then cell at jeremy leong's house.

seriously, i liked the show cause the scenes were really cool, good filming and all. but what made me so angry is that all the characters were dead. like seriously, dead! i cant even explain what the show meant. you could say the show was about dead people whose souls were left on earth to actually find their way back to the so called other world. and through that, well they progress in life.

24th - SETTLERS! at smu after rangers with dilys, allison, cheryl, edina, leon, chang xiang, joel ng.

quels saw us doing really stupid things but i think it was a fun time of fun! okay that sounded weird, but anyway. weird combination of people, but i guess it was cool getting to know the new ERs better :D

25th - sunday service, or rather BCM haha. then home first followed by reunion dinner at my grandma's house. well, my 2 cousins learnt bridge very quickly!

26th - CNY day 1.

my mother's side didnt have a picture this year cause my baby cousin was crying! thats a first :D every year i go to places seemingly just to collect angpaos filled with twos and fours. i'm thankful that i still get angpaos although supposedly angpao amount is inversely proportionate to your age. going around to different houses just see me having to answer questions like "WAH, your ahma was saying you did very well for your Os! so where you intending to go?" and well questions like "You're taller than your dad already! How tall ah?" i do have very distant cousins, who in fact actually do not seem like cousins to me haha. i've a great grand aunt, who's 95! cool heh. with her few teeth, i can barely understand what she's saying, but i'm thankful that i still can see her. she's always going "yi si joshua ah?" which actually means "He's Joshua ah?" and says i'm growing! hahah that's a good sign :D

27th - CNY day 2. then wii at jon's house!

similarly, going to my dad's secondary school teacher's house sees me desocialising, the term my sister uses to tell me to start sitting in a corner near my mum with her and start psp-ing, or handphone gaming, while the other children, primary school kids? they kinda know each other quite well, and well they look like secondary school kids though. maybe they are, just never talked to them before haha :D then seeing my second uncle also makes me smile cause he's always cracking jokes in hokkien or chinese. i happen to understand hokkien and so i can laugh whilst my sister just asks me what the joke meant and lags in her laughter response.

well, CNY seems to be overrated, this year especially, where people all around seem to keep saying "HAPPY NIU YEAR". why not "HAPPY SHU YEAR" or "HAPPY ZHU YEAR" for the past few y'knw, chinese new years. like cow, cow and more cow. i'm starting to think of the neopet KAU =.= and well, i'm still thankful that in this economic downturn, i still receive angpaos. and well, God's been keeping my family so well, i pray they'll all come to know Christ soon. i seriously need to have photos here. heh :D

God is simply marvelous. He really leads and guides me when i ask Him for strength and guidance to go through the day! today was practising of sermon sharing in church again! my sermon hadn't really firmed up till this morning, and i seriously dunno when i might just be called in to share my sermon with the people there in philippines, but well, i'm trusting God that what He has given to me is a timely message for the people there.

yep! so i'm more or less ready to go! praise God :D so well, i'm leaving on friday! i'll be back next friday hahah (: i'll blog and photoblog more then yay! bye :D

happening week so far i would say :D

FCF is coming! i'm excited yet at the same time scared that i won't pass phase one on the first try. well, i'm studying hard for it! that's one motivation for me to study again (: and it's a reason to get this rotting brain of mine up and working again!

today was good, short sermon sharing practice. good time for fine tuning the short sermon for mission trip! and i believe there's gonna be so much God will and can do during the mission trip to philippines! i'm glad, really.

that aside, blogging seems to need loads of brain juice. my brain's rotting so much after the Os and i seriously need something to read to get it started again.

Her classmate, Doon Harrow, who wants more than nothing else to work in the Generator, panics when he pulls the messenger assignment. The Pipeworks isn’t the Generator, but it is close enough and Doon offers to swap assignments with Lina. She is thrilled and grateful and eagerly changes jobs. Thus and unlikely friendship is born, on that, as it blossoms, will change the course of all the lives in Ember.

Lina takes easily to the job of messenger and finds herself zipping all over Ember, delivering important missives to even more important people, including the mayor himself. At home she cares for her aging and forgetful grandmother, and her baby sister Poppy. When an old metal box is discovered in their closet, Lina’s grandmother is overjoyed. Completely sure that the contents of the box are of utmost importance, she is completely bereft of any memory as to why.

Lina manages to jimmy the lock open, and discovers some cryptic papers inside. Unable to piece the papers together, but sure they are important, Lina resolves to decipher their meaning and enlists Doon’s help.

As blackouts in the City become more frequent, Lina and Doon realize that the information inside that box could lead to the salvation of their City and their fellow citizens. Now racing against the clock, the two follow the clues, cleverly manoeuvring around corrupt politicians and unsavory characters hoping to keep them from their goal: restoring the light in the CITY OF EMBER.

hahah, watched this with jon jiang, leon, norman and gabriel tan yesterday at grand cathay! as jon would say, "it's better than watching winx club!" had yoshinoya for dinner then went back home! so that was yesterday. today i was busy doing nothing great at home, still recuperating from the after effects of a fever. now my jaw muscles hurt so bad, i hope it ain't mumps or something.

Highlights of MY Week:
1. monday-thursday: BSCC camp
2. thursday night: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
3. friday: supposed filming (sick so cannot go)
4. saturday-sunday: ER overnight

monday to thursday, i was at camp, with bethel student care! it was tiring but fun and fulfilling! got to know the kids; khoon seng, shao wei, keefe, chung hung and some others :D this bunch of kids are naughty but good natured! it was worth spending time with them!

monday was mainly station games, my station was the alertness station, they had to catch plastic balls which we threw from the second level just outside estilla furnishing. also they had to avoid water balloons. other stations were also pretty fun, though i didnt play them. one was to find rubber ducks in a dark room, another was to walk through a 'mine field' blindfolded and with the teamates guidance to avoid the 'mines'. then still had some crossing game and the last one was to stack cups.
tuesday was fun too, went to the airport to run around for answers hahah, got to know the 4 guys better, gave them my msn! they talked to me on msn :D its cool lah :D

wednesday morning had mass games, like toilet paper snake, finding lego pieces, looking for numbers, memory cards, stacking cups again i think! then after lunch, headed down to the chalet first, the kids came soon after. then cause it rained, we played games indoors!
had barbecue at night, my chicken wings didnt become charred! then ate quite a lot, played bridge till 230 then went to sleep. on thursday, the teams prepared for their skit, all of the skits were funny! they had a playground time and then prize presentation. then back to the centre and home i went!

got ready to go out for snow white and the seven dwarfs! mr wang's treat for dinner again!

supposed to go filming with christopher cheok, but couldnt cause i'm like sick. wont be heading down to church for bible emphasis. hope i can get well so tomorrow i can go for the ER overnight thing! hahaha.

it's bad and sad to be sick really. fever, cough, flu, muscle ache, sore throat and i feel weak haha. but well, after taking some medicine from the doctor, give me a day, maybe i'll be well enough :D bye!

yay, went to watch quantum of solace with shawn and leon :D the show was good, the action was exciting and cool, but mainly i still dont like abrupt endings to bond movies. it was a good continuation to casino royale! though people say that casino royale would make quantum of solace more understandable, i beg to differ cause the show bore little reference to the previous one, except for the names (which you might not know) and the part on how the previous bond girl died. yep yep :D i am one happy happy boy. totally (:

yay! olevels are over! chem was challenging, bio was easy but tricky. but both were mcqs that i think could be done perfectly! thank God! :D yesterday's grad night was pretty fun, had buffet, table games and lucky draw, i think that would be all! and there was the YMCA song. when it was played wee all had to stand on the table and swing our napkins around hah.

today was also good, went to raffles city with my mum and sis, got a crumpler! :D

WEEK 2 is over! woots :D

Biology Paper 2 was the easiest bio paper i've done in two years! THANK GOD! the paper was mainly set from the first half of the textbook, i'm pretty thankful there weren't any from the second half of the book. those topics had alot to write, so i dont really like them! hahaha.

well, i'm thankful that two weeks have just passed in the blink of an eye. just two weeks ago, olevels started. now it's about to come to a wonderful close with social studies and the MCQ papers for the sciences.

but anyway, i've gotta continue my readings for social studies, BYE!

Emath Paper 2 and History Paper 1 today was fairly good, Thank God! just a few things why i would sigh an sigh of relief:
1. During the emath paper, i thank God that i could be allowed to use the toilet as i had an extremely bad stomachache, but haha, i came out in like 1 or two minutes, so i didnt waste much time. phew.
2. The history paper was phrased in a REALLY REALLY WEIRD manner, especially the essay question where they made us compare similarities and differences for one essay, and make us do an evaluation type of essay question (where you have to compare boon or bane kind of questions) but i could still do them. phew.
3. The source-based questions were good, except for the face that they asked a question like, "Does Source D make you surprised by what Source E says?" i thank God i still managed to answer :D even though i didn't finish the evaluation totally, i think it is possible to still get at least 3/4 of the marks. phew.

so that would almost officially mark the end of my week! tomorrow's gonna be bio paper 2, and i want that A1. so i better go study now, bye!

yay yay! physics is over, thoughit wasn't too good, but i still thank God! its the first time i come out of a physics paper not regretting anything since last year! i don't really have anything to say about the physics paper except for the fact that only Cambridge would set questions that are on thermocouple, estimation of the wavelength of X-rays, ionisation and some really stupid types of questions :D

well tomorrow's gonna be another long day, emath paper 2 at 8am till 1030am. then a four hour long break till history paper 1, which starts at 2pm. well, i'm still thankful that there's buffer time in between so i can continue to study :D i better go study history now, bye!

HISTORY WAS A BLAST. "Very easy!" as Miss Krishnan would say. Yep, i thank God for his peace and guidance through the paper! i was super afraid i wouldn't finish the paper, but in the end i still did. i did the essay question on the Policy of Appeasement and the Outbreak of World War 2 :D fairly easy i would say, and i'm glad i made the right choice :D

i studied the Treaty of Versailles, Stalin, Hitler, and Causes of World War 2. Out of these, the Treaty and Causes of World War 2 came out for the Structured Essay Questions (SEQ)! Thank God i had 2 choices. i left out Cold War and Gorbachev totally, so the last question was totally inapplicable. Source-Based Questions(SBQ) were also quite okay, on Hitler's family policies while he was dictator of Germany. Thank God Miss Krishnan went through that on Saturday during remedial (:

THANK GOD! elect geog today was a blast! i loved the paper :D di the topic on natural vegetation and development, i'd say i had no regrets! however, the questions were very much different from what we normally see, for natural vegetation, there werent climographs! and for development, it was comparing the mortality rate and percentage of girls in education. so i'd say they were easy.

i didnt bother looking at the other two questions (rivers and coasts, geography of food). the first thing that came to my mind when i saw the oxbow lake picture and the obesity pie chart was, "okay, i'm so not gonna do them" hahah :D tomorrow would be a greater day, i'd do better for my Amath! and there's emath, i cannot flop them. well gotta go study for amath :)

okay, today's amath paper to me was bad, but i still thank God that i could the the larger bulk of the questions, so the maximum mark i think i'd be able to get is about 60/80 or around there, but i'd never know for i'll never get to see my paper. this means i have to do so much better, very much better for my paper 2, 100/100 in fact.

so i've calculated, to secure my A1, i've gotta get full marks for my paper 2, which i believe is possible :D two more days to go till week 1 is over. TIME PASSES JUST SO QUICKLY! well, gotta go study for my geog elect paper. i'm hoping and praying for the best in everything :D in God's hands i surrender it all.

God is really really so good. the topics came out like what mrs tang had given us before! so really, the paper seemed and felt really really easy. and plus i wrote on greed, which was question 2 of section 1. the situational question was a report, it was quite okay. the compre was the best, comprehension topic on cats, which was similar to some of which we did before :D so it was pretty easy! thank God!

tomorrow will be a good day where i will overcome the amath paper, i will subdue it with God's help and it would not be a B when it returns. i'll do my best and leave it all to him :D

i like the sound and smell of rain, but i dont like the touch of it, it gets really sticky. its raining outside and i sure am glad to be in a home where i am safe from everything outside. how cool :D but well, that random part aside, let me talk about chem today. the peace of God really filled my heart as i took the exam, it was a great feeling and i thank God for his presence when i was doing the paper!

well, i thought the chemistry 'o' level was pretty easy! however, i didnt draw the energy diagram correctly. i drew it as energy level diagram instead of the energy profile. the comparison of similarity and differences between alkanes and alkenes wasnt really well done cause i didnt write some important parts. these two mistakes were stupid mistakes, really stupid ones for i knew how to do them. i hope the maximum mark that they would subtract would be just about 10 or 11.

just when i thought 4 years of taking chemistry and finally putting it to the test would be a regret-less time, i kinda thought that i could have avoided those mistakes. so well, i'm just gonna hope for the best, since i know i've done my best, God will do the rest. and now i need full marks, 40/40, for my chemistry paper 1 :D

today marks the end of the first grueling week at school. waking up by 6 to get out of the house, then school for lessons. on good days, we get to go home early. the earliest time i can go home would be at 1.40pm on fridays. on bad days, remedials till 6, everyday. how bad can school get?

okay, i've got lots of math practice papers to do, which i think is a good thing and a bad thing. the good thing being that i have something to practice on, bad thing i've got lesser time to do other subjects. maths, as according to other subject teachers, is taking up too much of the students' precious studying time.

oh and graduation assembly is on the 10th of october, which i feel is really late. this means i only have a meagre 9 or 10 days to my self-study, which is real bad as i rely more on self-study. but well, i thank God for the blessings He has given me through the past few months. God has been helping me through so much :D

monday saw the moderation exercise, and when i got back my prelim results, both my math moderated up, physics moderated up by a little bit. the 6points there on the paper gives me a great morale boost! i'm so gonna study hard and get my actual 6points! but well, i'd leave it all the God who already has the path planned for me :D

oh, and graduation night is on the 13th of november for my school, which means we'd all be going for grad night right after our bio mcq paper! count it as a celebration that will mark the end of secondary school life, with an awaiting for good results and a great future ahead :D till then!

now for a quick post. today i officially finish the last few papers of my prelims! and it seems as though its the end of the year. well, i thank God for peace and strength through the prelims and all :D

that aside, when i was at the hairdresser's just now, the hairdresser was talking to another customer while cutting my hair. i was alarmed at first that she was talking while cutting my hair, but i entrusted my hair to the hairdresser! at the same time, i was listening to their talk topic on 缘分. well i could understand what she was talking about, about how her mum's attitude changed towards her over money, and she attributes it to fate. and she also says that her mum-in-law sees daughter-in-laws as still an outsider, and also attributes it to fate. with that, i'm reminded of a conversation with a friend the other day :D

well, i believe nothing attributes to fate. fate is seriously a principle that has to be questioned. people want to control their own destiny, their own path in life. and to go on the right path in life, we cant rely on the thing called 'fate'. cause if you let fate lead you, you'd die eventually, with much regret that you didnt take hold of your life and let the right person hold your life. Jesus would be the answer and to the many out there who choose to resign to fate, choose Jesus.

we must hand it to china somehow hahah. their opening and closing ceremonies were exceptional, they set the standard for the next olympic games to come. watching the olympic games is something that really is inspiring, different athletes that trained hard come to win medals, and we've gotta hand it to the olympic champions. watching michael phelps swim to a win of 8 gold, its really exciting. watching usain bolt dash past the 100m finish line, we could say he really had more to give rather than a mere 9.69s. other events were really cool, i've learnt more about each event, the rules and all hahah. and what about the singapore silver medal? well, lets just say we got to see the flag going up for once. you get what i mean, it is an achievement though hahah.

the end of the olympic games marks the start of my prelims, but well this time, there does not seem to be a punch in the last lap of the race. i'm studying, but somehow i keep thinking i've not covered everything. tomorrow i have my english prelims haha :D

birthdays seem to be something less looked forward to as the years go by, and it seems ordinary each year :D but i must say, the best gift was from shawn and leon, a jersey printed with my name! i really like it alot! thanks guys :D went out with my mum and sis for lunch, grabbed some things for my baby cousin, then went back home, slept and well, did nothing but pack up all my notes.

going back to friday, we went to sakae sushi, for like after chma celebration, a little late but well, worth it. 26 of us going there for lunch after speech day woohoo :D incurred by the school anyway, amounted to 500 plus haha. had cell, then at night i watched the opening of the olympics 2008. i must say the fireworks and the lighting of the olympic torch was spectacular, something new and interesting.

saturday was also good, stayed home to discuss some stuff over msn, then during ndp telecast, i slept. couldnt be bothered to watch the ndp, which i believe has a programme which is so predictable. slept super early and i regained my lost sleep (:

sunday was good too, my sis got the last olympic cup from macdonalds for me, so it spared me from eating macs again hahaha. then during service, there was the medal presentation for BMA, SMA and ER leadership medal, and after that, ps stanley preached, i was ministered :D hahah. yep then at night, went to swensens with my family and home :D pictures some other time :D

my tagboard's like dead! but well nevermind. it's the time of the year again where you sing stand up for singapore and well, to wave the small singapore flags around. national day this year seems to be less emphasized on, i dunno why, but maybe cause i'm caught up with many things around me haha.

we as sec 4s have to attend speech day, something that i dont really think is useful and its something i think is a total waste of time. we're gonna be sitting there for like 3 hours? doing nothing but clap and behave -.- so i intend to bring my homework. since i'm on the note of awards, i have to mention that not everyone who has contributed is getting service awards! but what to do, the school seems bent on saving money -.- so the people are given an unlaminated cert. we'll see tomorrow hahahaha.

hello again :D today was kk and stef's wedding, its such a joy to see the two of them finally get married hahah (: two commanders that have really made an impact in my life as a kid and truly i am really blessed by what God has done through them for my life. kk has been encouraging, he has really helped to raise my spirit when sometimes i feel fed-up with studying, to know that someone is there to care for me really is a force that keeps me going. and stef was my straight arrows commander, though i cant really remember much about the straight arrows times, i thank God i had a commander like her hahaha (:

apart from these photos i've taken at chma 2008, here's more from Zhong Wei's flickr so there you go :D chma 2008. sweet and wonderful. i know i'll miss catholic high, though i always say i dont really like my school hahah, well partly cause of imedia and chma! hahah the bonds forged and times spent working together and staying overnight in school, climbing gate to get out for dinner, going out to buy bubble tea, LOL. chma 2008 i'd say was a success :D now all the time for my studies woohoo!

nothing much happened on tuesday, wed was physics spa skill 3 assessment and was pretty okay, then chemistry remedial, we did the olevel june 2007 paper, its quite fun to do TYS and practice papers :D then today had bio spa skill 3 assessment, we managed to spot question hehe :D

the past 2 nights of bible emphasis was good, ps benny ho is really a good speaker, made things easy to understand yet get the impact across. he's really funny too :D yep i've learnt alot on how to nurture the inner life and its really useful, the arenas of the inner life and the areas of discplines that the arenas are centered on.

okay :D now let me take a look at what my crew did today! i'm really happy with my crew for CHMA, i'm really pleased (: we have tied a total of 400 ribbons around 400 sets of postcards and then we have already arranged 422 chairs for people to sit heh :D

well yep tomorrow's the last day! then i'd be officially off from cca duties and stuff :D and you could say that i'd be leaving my juniors to die soon enough! okay then again i'm not so bad. i'd see if i can totally teach them what i know and also make sure they learn it well!

then cet and service was pretty good :D the book of acts was explained a little more and i understand the book a little better (: and service was good, by ps chng about being strengthened to lengthen, God spoke through the words ps chng spoke :D

homecoming today was okay, it sure was crowded in school. i reached school at around 945am with 20 dollars worth of coupons to spend hahah. okay, i have to admit that the food from the parent support group was really nice. compared to those that were sold by the classes, i think the parents had better stuff. heh.

i met joel wong, i think he was invited by one of his friends. and i met ming ting, lee yang invited her i suppose. haha, yep, seeing familiar faces was really cool, it will seem as though the world is shrinking heh :D

well, the best part of homecoming as yet was the dunking pool where teachers went into the water! hahahah :D

okay now lets see what i have been doing today. "BE YOURSELF DAY" at school was a total flop in my opinion, cause be yourself means to feel good to show who you really are. but then, no slippers, and er... cannot dress too against the school rules -.- so might as well wear school uniform, which was what i did and most of the others in my class did. oh and we saw people coming in jeans/skinnies/long pants (singapore is so warm, mind you) and we have people coming to school with shirts, some even long sleeved shirts (singapore is really warm, plus in a class with lousy air-conditioners, you must be crazy). the school uniform is warm enough already, what for wear something else haha -.-

but well, hahah i like shorts for 4 years, can play soccer easily without largely worrying about tearing your pants. the rest of the school got dismissed at 12 today for homecoming day preparations, but we, being sec 4s are sad cases, need to stay till 1.40pm. and oh, this china scholar had to be sent back to china cause he failed literally everything cause he had a weak english grasping base. so its sad lah. then after school, went to sell tickets for chma, spent half my time trying to find out where the extra 10 bucks came out from. then i missed my chance to play soccer in the field. then went back to the studio, helped stage design crew abit, then decided to help plaster up the hole in out wall. its super fun to plaster the wall hahah :D

then went on to church for bcm training or whatever you call that, then went home! i'm doing math, and its unbelievable hahahah (: i gotta go, bye!

hahah, my day was pretty good, i am not banded into another class for math,and i'm really happy i stay with the class. so now to improve on all my subjects, maintain them and ensure i get my A1s in the olevels HEE :D but well, gotta buck up and do more math and physics.

sec 4 life is picking up again, i'm getting into the hang of things once again, ten yearr series and all the past year papers, i'm so gonna love them :D hahah, well gotta go! short short post today :D

okay, just updated my marks in the previous post. its real great i didnt fail my physics! there's an increase from a C6 to B3 now! hahah :D SS was much like what i expected, phew. cause there really was so much to study so i decided not to focus so much on SS hahaha.

that aside, olevels are in 15 weeks, starting on the 20th of october, which kinda makes me feel tight for time. then again, you wont believe i'm having my 3RD prelims on the last week of this term, how cool -.-

but then again, prelims are supposed to be good. mr jeffrey goh was kinda talking about getting exam ready and conditioned for exam mood. not gonna try to bank in on just 6 major subjects and then expect those results to be good. then again, yeah how true :D

God really has been good, through my past prelims, my chinese olevel papers and the oral. i just have the peace i did well, and so i'm gonna leave the results in the hands of God. listening compre for chinese is on the 15th of july and chinese olevel results are coming out the day before national day -.- i'll have the peace, i just know it.

then again, God really does work in marvellous ways, through edwj on proverbs starting this month and really, the book of Proverbs is one to be studied in depth, and it is real timely for such a time as this where things start to pile up and we lose hope and lose sight of our goal. the 40 day prayer booklet also reminded me how we all need to pray for our country and really it is because of prayer that today we can be where we are today. and revival for the nation really depends on how spiritually fit we are on the inside and how much we really yearn for the Holy Spirit to touch and fill our nation :D

so well, i'm one happy boy! but then again, there's bio MCQ test on thursday, gotta work hard :D gotta go, bye!

muggers of the world unite! or rather, people who study alot, UNITE! school's reopening for me tomorrow, i'm looking forward to it, though i know the pile of work will continue to increase and increase and increase. hahahah. then again, tomorrow's chinese olevel oral and i'm trying to keep real cool from now till tomorrow evening lest i screw up my oral. i've calculated that i need a distinction for oral to get an A1 for chinese and so i hope i wont screw it up :D i'll leave my results in the hands of God! i tried my best already!

okay, now lets see what happened from friday till today! friday was okay, went to school for remedial again -.- and then went home, i cut my hair, then got ready to go meet jon jiang at hougang mall. we discussed the technical side of the wedding where we'll be helping out, and then we went walking around. ate tangyuan, and jonathan got a shirt for leon's birthday! hahah :D at 8, it was cell group, normal sharing and all :D and there really seems to be a change going through! hahah and then after cell went to kpt for supper with the 2 jeremys. saturday was great, went to school first in the morning and then after that went straight to church for rangers. our program was like to go for this talk which i found totally not useful to me at all heh. and then went to leon's house for his birthday party, there was real good food, i liked uncle sandy's beef and prawns hahaha :D watched the others play Wii and then talked to people around the table, i'd say it was really fun hahah. ate the cake kerrie baked, it was really nice, full of cream! hahah then we went to the park where the supposed "narnia" was to be. its a merry-go-round so (: then xide sent rongsheng, jonathan and i home!

today was good too, church for practice for bcm and then prayer meeting and then service! service was pretty good today i'd say, zbout recognizing the Holy Spirit as a person and as Lord :D after service, waited for my parents to fetch my sister and i to go for my grandmother's birthday dinner. another good meal, and was a great time to catch up with my cousins. and my baby cousin can walk! hahahahahah.

great week i've had, but well its back to reality series "school days" and i hope it will be a blast. i cant possible hope for school to be lifeless, can i? since i wake up so early almost everyday for the past 3 and a half years, might as well make my trips to school fruitful enough so at least i dont waste my time -.- 4 MORE MONTHS TO THE END OF THIS MISERY! maybe not misery, but to the end of studying for Os (: gotta go now :D woohoo!

went back to school again today as usual, didnt feel quite well in the morning, but now i'm feeling better :D then chinese was okay, then went to the studio to edit the chma postcards and i've managed to finish 3 today, the solo vocals, group vocals, rock bands. that leaves me with the instrumentals, creative expressions and the credits. my sis didnt bring her key today, so i had to rush back! hahah (:

yay, blogging from school :D how fun. today's the start of my additional 1 week of school holidays and i'm really happy i have it. i can do loads of things today and i sure am glad to have this week. but then again, i still have to come back to school to do have chinese olevel oral remedial, and also to do chma stuff. so much so for the holidays -.-

hohoho, i'm blogging again! oh yesterday cell dinner was good, we went to formosa delights at cathay, dhoby ghaut.

the menu, was trying out angles so hahahah.

today was pretty good too, except for the fact that i had to wake up at 7o'clock to get ready for school, needed to reach school by like 830 for chinese olevel oral tips remedial. i was late for remedial cause i waited like 15 minutes for 88 to arrive -.- then went to J8 after school, quite surprising who i met or saw at J8. first i met hilary, then i saw evangelin, and then cepheus hahahah!

rangers was good, i liked spirit challenge. it was really challenging think about questions commander chong asked us about and i liked the food for thought. then i passed my phone, wallet and keys to leon and went to change out of my pants. i forgot to take them back from him, so i asked him to pass to jonathan to pass to me tomorrow! hahahahha i'm gonna see my phone again soon!

heh i officially declare PRELIM 2 IS OVER! it really seems as though its the end of the olevels, after a tiring month of revision and a super late nights during the past week while doing final revisions. yep i'm relieved its over :D now to slack, or rather to rest for a week, then get back on mode. we're having holidays next week so i'm pretty much free from tomorrow till next sunday! it doesnt seem like holiday to me at all lah. but well, i need a good rest.

let me evaluate today's papers. bio was fairly easy, i liked the paper, i could do everything without hesistation hahaha, but then again it means not everything might be correct so ohwell. the essay question was like so easy free mark grabber. hahah then the heredity question was weird, but could be done :D so i'm not a "fail bio" person after all (:

amath was fairly okay, the first amath paper i managed to finish most of the paper. i left 3 questions blank, didnt have time to do those questions so i was quite sian. thats like 10 marks off leh. plus all the other careless mistakes here and there i still hope i get A1 hahaha.

i'm physically and mentally tired now and i'm drained. plus tomorrow still need to go back to school at 830 to have remedial for chinese olevel oral. mine's on the 30th of June. so i hope tomorrow wont be a waste of time and i hope my teacher doesnt call us back during the 1 week holiday for remedial for chinese. even if i do go back to school, it will be free and easy timing for me :D

hello again, i'm blogging again during my exam time! well, tomorrow's my last papers bio and amath, i shant slacken. let's take a look at what happened from yesterday till now. let me evaluate my past papers.

geog elect yesterday was pretty good, i managed to remember everything and i think i will be able to do well. the stuff to write were alot, thank God i could finish the paper. hahah human geog is like much harder to score compared to physical geog especially now that there's level descriptor markings.

physics yesterday also was just pretty okay, i just hope i dont fail physics thats all. i managed to finish the paper on time, thankfully. i think there are some problems here and there and cost me i think quite a number of marks already. i've gotta study harder for physics.

social studies today was pretty okay, didnt feel much stress while doing the paper cause i could remember my syllabus quite well :D but source based almost didnt have time to finish but thank God i managed to finish hahahah.

emath today was kinda like a disaster for me come to think of it. my school's A1 is a 85 marks so there goes my A1 for emath ): arghhh. the mistakes were careless and some the answers were like right in front of me but i just couldnt see it -.- i've really tried my best and still make stupid mistakes on such an easy paper -.-

hahha, but well anyway, i'll have to have 2 hours of studying amath later and then 2 hours of bio then i can go sleep in peace with my mind off my books for a while. i'm super tired and i'm glad tomorrow's the last day of exams :D i'd do well for some, do badly for some, but i'll have to chiong more for prelim 3 hahah.

hoho just a super quick post on my past 2 exam papers.

history yesterday was fine, didnt mind blank this time! thank God (: source based questions were harder than expected, especially the inference and the sources given were like 4 pictures, 1 text source. how to evaluate lol. but then quite okay. hope i get my A1 hahahhah

chem today was pretty okay also, didnt stump on any question. except i think i minus like 5 marks already hahaha. mcq was like all B, C, and D which was quite scary. i only had two As on my shading script. i hope i get my A1 too for chem, the previous prelim i got A2, like i missed A1 by 1 mark -.- so hahahhaha.

no more easy papers left, tomorrow's geography elective and physics. geog elect is hard to remember information, and my physics aint too good. so hehheh i'll just see what happens tomorrow :D

yay. people from church camp are coming back! so that means more contacts online to talk to! hahahha. and well my sister's coming home soon! and this is to break the boredom that i've had for the past few days at home. its quiet and good to study in, but the neighbours upstairs are busy drilling and they go on and on and on. so well. so much for the PEACE and quiet. so now, lets see what i've been doing over the past few days.

i find myself coming back here to blog after say, 3 months. but really, many things have happened over the past 3 months and i really am enjoying the mood i'm getting into.

prelim 2 is around the corner, just next week, 16th june for one week and i'd be done hooray! but then again, i still have a long way to go, with another prelim and the final donuts.

lets see what happened more recently. CHMA is coming soon, we've had our photoshoot, stayover preparation camp, and we've sent the tickets for print and now we're left with the postcards and the final night posters. plus plus ticket sales!

and just had camporama from the 4th to the 7th of June and i am really glad i chose camporama over church camp. it was really good to get to know new people, especially when i am in a group with no one i usually talk to. but God has been good, i believe he put me there for a reason, to impact the lives of 3 other guys, Bo Han, Kian Sheng, and Joel. through games and activities, i am able to talk to them and even get them to associate more with the people in the group.

i went off to camporama as an advance party member on the 3rd of June after school, reached there round 4 o clock and well, had much fun building the archway and also to have fellowship with the others. it was pretty fun

the 4th of june came where everyone came in and we had fun during the games, and really got ministered during the service by the Jacksons (not the michael jackson family definitely hahaha). yep, and i got a copy of their recordings.

and then i had to go home for school the next day so i missed campfire. boohoo but well, heh. then i arrived on the 5th at the campsite at 6pm and so continued with service. it was pretty good, ps steven teo preached and God really moved, God's call on my life was shown more clearly to me and i have been blessed.

6th june was the last full day at camp and well was also the best day of camp cause i got to play soccer. 1 hour of street soccer was amazing and it was wow. then highropes and all, plus i went to make bolotie hahahah! gurmit singh came and he was pretty funny while sharing(: night service was good also with the baptism of the Holy Spirit and God's mighty hand moved again! and also for the healing of broken hearts and broken spirits.

the last day was pretty great too, clean up was superbly fast. the fastest you would ever see in your entire life. in 15 minutes, 32 tents were cleared by about 20 people (this usually takes 1 tent, 4 people, 5 minutes)! heheh and then closing ceremony and home!

left home for church and we had worship you alone at night and it was good(: the MM really put in a lot of effort to it :D then went home again!

sunday's service was at like 830am and the others were going for church camp! the message was good :D but since i didnt go, i'll have to wait till my sis comes home to tell me the continuation of the message! but well studying over the past few days have really been good and productive since i managed to cover alot of "GROUND" (or rather, pages) in my text books! and ten year series as well.

i have to go back to mugging! argh. well :D

Dress code
Hair and attire checks are conducted twice each school term. Uniforms are compulsory for students. Students from all grades wear a white collared shirt and green shorts. The name tag and school crest is sewn on for primary school students, while it is pinned on for secondary students. The PE kit consists of a white shirt with yellow sleeves and blue shorts. The house shirts are similar in design, albeit for the house name instead of the school name emblazoned on the back. In addition, only socks and shoes are allowed to be worn.

Hair and Attire Checks
Hair and attire checks are conducted twice each school term as part of the school's culture and tradition. It is a tradition that has proved to be successful in ensuring the school's students are well-disciplined, as long hair and ankle socks are often signs of misbehaviour and poor discipline. Students with long hair are seen as hooligans and ne'er-do-wells who break the rules, cause mischief and disrupt lessons, and also possibly smoke and take alcohol outside of the school compounds. Students are asked to line up while the disciplinary teacher inspects each student's hairstyle and attire. Standards are as follows:

Hairstyles:
It may be the year 2008, and gentlemen with slightly long hair may be everywhere, but The School still believes in the traditional standards of the 1970s, when it was at its prime. Its success back then is therefore attributed to the strict hair standards. (Scientific studies show that hair length affects academic results)
Hair must be extremely short. Having slightly medium length hair combed neatly is strictly prohibited as teenagers cannot have the right to leave long hair. Even though Jesus Our Saviour had long hair, we do not follow in his footsteps in this aspect.
Neat, extremely short hairstyle, preferably a "G.I" cut. The role of the school is to make you look as ugly as possible.

A 'sloped' style at the back is compulsory.
Because many students have been suspected to be Skinheads, a totally shaved head is strictly prohibited. Offenders may be suspended.

Students are reminded to look up to the dashing and charming Principal, ***, or revered P.E Head of Department and Discipline Committee Chairman *** as a role model for the hairstyle standards.

Attire:
Socks must be 4 inches above the ankle. Ankle-length socks are a sign of gangsterism and in the real world would be seen as a criminal offence.
Name tag and school badge must be present.

Students who fail the attire and hair check in any single aspect will have their name tags confiscated, and will be given a day to fix any aspect in which they have failed. Students who still have unsatisfactory attire may be suspended.

hahahahahhaha. finally, a blog post. but well anyway its quiet as usual on my blog, i'd still blog anyway.
last sunday's chinese new year service was pretty good, i didnt go visitation. went home to sleep and do work. so the monday was pretty good, except for the fact that my prelim papers were returned.

wednesday was learning journey day, conNEctions. supposedly as you can see, its in collaboration with national education -.- but it was pretty fun, going to SAFTI MI, Army Museum and the Discovery Centre.

thursday was pretty fun too, had PE and i climbed the overhang on the rock wall, which i'm really happy that i reached the top : D and then there was this life skills thing about finishing the last lap.

so wednesday and thursday were pretty slack. and then friday seemed like the last day of school, life at school's getting back into full swing. then off after school to enrollment service work night, practiced songs with jonathan and the band, shawn, leon, anthea and jeff. pretty fun doing all sorts of funny things!

saturday was a total turn off but enrollment service and the rangers reunion dinner made it a more enjoyable day. went to school in the morning at 8am. i woke up at 730am and supposedly i'd be late cause the ride to school is 1 hour. my dad crawled out of bed to send me to school : D he's a great dad! hahah. lesson ended at 10, reached church at 1130. i met wei cong at the cross junction, surprisingly. hahah. enrollment was pretty enjoyable plus thank God for the ranger of the year award! hahah, then i submitted my FCF form, which i'm really happy with(: thank God! then dinner with the rangers people at auntie swee har's place, lohei and steamboat dinner! ezekiel was super cute lah. yeps.

today at church was pretty good, played for elson since he helped me last year during the fund raising period. hahah, then service i'd say was great, new encounter and touch from the Lord. then during zone gathering, it was really very very funny. we had to fill in this personal particulars form, and them guess what. A familiar voice asked, "For marital status write what arh? Single or Married?" i replied, "Write Married lah! To ---------" zhiming heard it and we were laughing like siao lah. apparently he liked the girl and he literally told the whole world! hahah. thats about all : D

ahhh. tuesday was so good. teachers had a celebration lunch at marina mandarin because of good olevel results from last year. thus we had a half day off! hahahah. the rest was pretty much needed and how i wished we just had a full day off. but well, it was still great! Thank God!

wednesday was chinese new year celebrations, the celebrations were pretty boring as usual, all done by the china scholars and the chinese (china) department. well, cause all the teachers in the chinese department are from china! LOL! the thing was that they all smell. the whole hall smelt of them after the place was cleared, and thank God i left early. then home for lunch and off to reunion dinner. ohyah, and chinese new year celebrations had to end off with all of us getting homework. reunion dinner was well fun! my baby cousin was super fun to play with! hahahahha. and then my aunt asked for my phone, i showed her the one i was currently using and then unexpectedly she asked if i wanted her old phone, i was like WOW. now i've got a better phone. thank God!

well 1st day of chinese new year, i was out visiting the same old places again! haha. quite boring as a matter of fact, but well, what to do? just go loh. 2nd day of chinese new year we didnt go to as many places, and and i think what made it more fun was my cell going for a barbecue at jeremy leong's chalet. hahaha. well yeah.

wahahah, came back from tennis with rongsheng, norman and leon.
it was pretty cool actually, at the start we all couldnt play properly. then after awhile we got the hang of it and started playing better! hahah. 2 balls flew out of the tennis court over the fence, never to be found again wahahah.

school was pretty good in the morning, just tiring.
rangers was a blast, quite fun lah. slow rabbits and fast tortoises.

we had dinner at 1130 lah. hahahah.

just a random though that well, you could say Youth Alive is not moving forward because we are all too contented and stuck up.

hahah, yesterday's papers were fine, today's chinese was a blast!

amath is screwed i'd say, after practicing the hard questions, the simple ones also couldnt do.
bio was super good, for once i feel an achievement after bio paper.
chinese paper 2 was super easy, i finished the paper at the last minute. phew!
chinese paper 1 was easy and fun to write hahaha, just that i left out the number 2 in "2008" when writing the gong han date -.-

yay! you could say that this officially marks the end of my papers, though there's still english, but its as good as non-existent. hahahah. i'm going to school tomorrow! and then rangers and off to play tennis : D gotta go! bye (:

SS was much much fine
came out on Northern Ireland and the Welfare State in Britain.

Chem was not too bad though here and there i messed up.
literally everything taught came out, its just small little parts that i messed up, but generally, the paper was fine and manageable.

well on another note, the olevel results release today could very well determine the next part of the student's life. some numbers determine where they jolly well can go. as i was in the hall for the filming of the release, i'd say for some it was a time of rejoicing, others regretting. but well. another thing was those HCL students taking back their chinese results from last year. no doubt it could be a period of rejoicing or sadness, but i'd suppose it will be for the greater good. so yeah : D

i so badly wanna see 9A1s when i get back my results next year, i'm gonna so be on form and study superbly hard. gotta go! bye.

hahah, i'd say i'm getting the hang of school life again, i'm into full swing, full motion.
amath test yesterday was pretty good, i got it back today, 26/40 -.-''' phew. thought i'd fail, but this gives a booster for math for me : D
physics MCQ test today, i'd say wasn't too good, but i still knew how to do questions here and there, so particularly not much of a concern to me now : D
bio SPA was horrendous. though its non-olevel assessment, i didnt answer the questions at the back of my worksheet properly -.-'''
chem energy changes test was also horrendous, not properly done. but oxidation reduction test boosted me abit, 23/40. otherwise by now i'd be like )): hahaha.
emath test was pretty okay, just that its a refresher from what we've already covered and it was pretty much time to dig up all the rusty knowledge in my brain.

hahah, back from school.

i'd say today's a pretty slack day! thank God phew. bio was pretty cool as usual, then double chinese -.- my teacher totally cannot make it, super rigid with teaching, then was physics SPA. then recess at the student lounge. nowadays, recess is like as though everyone hadn't eaten for ages. sec 3s are always the people in the queue, leaving the sec 4s at the back of the queue. by the time we get our food, we have 10 mins left. MADNESS. so i decided to eat at the lounge today. hahah. then english was pretty slack too, just a mock essay writing test, which you could actually talk. and for math, was a simple emath test and to think i cannot remember cosine rule -.- haha. then home.

its REALLY REALLY BORING to be at home on a saturday during rangers time. the ERs went on panti trip and haha, i'm staying home to study and do work. like shawn said, we're the not going panti club. hahah he's so funny lah.

the past few days have been hectic i would say. cca stuff to help with, homework is in a pile, and loads of things to pay up for, you could say i'm officially broke now even though i have money in my wallet. the money needs to be paid to my school for some subscription of internet math text or something, and printing of english materials. wahahah.

i wanna get another phone now cause i dont see why i should repair my 6280. i pray someone would sponsor my repair again : D i'm so gonna study hard and do my best! gotta go, bye.

HAHAHA. finally found time to come and blog! well, school's getting tiring, especially for math and physics. addition formulae, double angle formulae, R-formula, and my physics topics. plus there's chem test tomorrow. heh.

i've decided to live a life that's truly worthy of the calling the Lord has given me. no more fooling around doing unimportant things but start to focus on the Lord for wisdom, strength and guidance. maybe its the stress thats building up in me, i'm feeling the pressure and the competition from everywhere. well God will pull me through. i just know.

school's getting pretty hectic and everywhere i hear teachers stressing us to do our work and work hard cause the olevels are coming all too soon. and prelim 1's in like the end of january. homework is continually piling up, and you can say it never ends. and its amazing how i managed to plan this small bit of time here to put one small little little post here in my blog. well, school was interesting, not much changes after all just that everyone's going all ahead for the preparations of the olevels. plus prelims are important since the school is unsure when the olevels results release is gonna be. so well anyway, i'm gonna work so hard and do my best.

back from cell outing at marina bay steamboat restaurant, chong pang! haha. i think today was really fun, havent caught up with my cell members for a long long time. the dinner was pretty much laughter and fun, and yep, i'm happy today. i managed to momentarily forget about my CRACKED stuff and now i'm stuck with my 8250. but its better than not having a phone definitely.

okay now for mission trip.

day 1, 7th dec. we woke up had a super full morning breakfast and then we had devotion before checking out of the hotel. went to Chiang Mai bus station by 2 mini buses. then went to eat lunch somewhere nearby. then we got some snacks and headed off to the bus that would bring us to Chiang Rai. so we reached Chiang Rai, uncle daniel and ps suwanee came to pick us up, went over to Big C, shopped for necessary items for the mission trip, things like snacks and items for goodie bags and stuff. me and leon were given the shock of our lives, the cloth thankfully, was brought. we got some oil pastels at really good rates and then we went with the other ERs to eat dinner at MK restaurants. then after dinner, we left for ps suwanee's house. we started packing goodie bags before we all went to bathe, then gathered back for night devotion. end of mission trip day 1.

day 2, 8th dec. we woke up, 6 in the morning, and then had prayer with the children there at ps suwanee's house. i sat in wonder there that morning seeing how God raised the children from just helpless orphans to mighty young and strong children for the Lord. particularly, this boy impacted me, he's only 10, he's saman, if i could spell it correctly, he was leading in the worship session, leading in prayer. and seeing how the children there pray, really puts us to shame. they can pray over and over again without feeling bored. but for people like us, we easily get tired of praying. then we had breakfast, then my team, the DREAM team went to Ayo Village to minister there. the children were well pretty cute and funny. we split the children into groups, they made their flags and i'd say they all turned out really nice. then we had ice breakers, sing-along session, magic show, and then a devotion. then it was lunch, the way the children say thank you when getting food is really a joy to see. they really appreciate whatever you give and finish it all. then come back for more. hahah. and then the children had malt candy then craft time. then it was a song presentation time, plus mega games like relay team games and all. the made swords for everyone to standardize. and gave out goodie bags to everyone. we headed down to the village and took a round around the village to see the place. visited the Aca pastor's mum great to see the country and village life lah. and i'd say, handling the rangers type of programme is so much fun. then we headed back to the ps suwanee's place, washed up, and had dinner. and night debrief and devotion. end of day 2 at the mission trip.

day 3, 9th december. woke up, had prayer with the kids again, sang some of their songs and went on for breakfast. this time the DREAM team went to Maechan village which was like just down the road. so we almost had the same programme we had in Ayo village. we split them into groups and then had flag making. oh and i forgot to mention. the amount of time needed for the children to get me 2 sticks was superbly fast. 10 minutes and almost every team came back with 2 good sticks, clean cuts too. haha. then icebreaker games like wacko, and then straight for sing-along session. then after that magic show. it was kinda funny how elliot revealed a little bit of the tricks to me without him knowing it. hahaha. and then there was lunch time, served food again and then we ate and had craft time. i was at the tie station, taught some boys to make ties. then these girls came by and kerrie asked "you want him to teach you how to make ties?" i was like -.- then they just sat down but phew, they left after not long. then it was mass games, like squirrel, tree and fire. and then mass games again. kerrie, dilys and i were busy pumping balloons and making swords for the children. when the children were done playing, they had ice cream and got their goodie bags. we gave out our balloons and then cleared up and left. we went back and saw the children playing soccer, so i joined in and played. the kids really were agile, beat us 5-3. hahah yep. then went in for steamboat and barbecue dinner, then had a campfire. by now i think i remembered all the boys' names. saman, surongpo, song po, song ti, siluwah, joel, tang, napah. and got to talk a little thai to them. campfire was awesome. put shawn, leon and i together, HAHAHAHAHA. we entertained the whole campfire before we had night devotion, debrief and briefing for the orphanage ministry. end of day 3 in missions.

day 4, 10th december. we woke up, prayer again and devotion. then breakfast followed by the journey to the orphanage. the orphange wasnt a christian one, but i think quite a handful of children knew the Lord. praise the Lord! we had song session, then games session. we used the best of the two team's games and played there. the bombing and the squirrel, tree, wind game. really was fun lah. then we had the children split into different age groups for different sharing sessions. i kinda felt sick but help out in some areas. then there was art and craft. we gave them goodie bags too! hahah. thank God i pulled through. then we headed off for lunch at some tesco lotus place. had rice and then some ice cream to cool my fever. then went off back to ps suwanee's place, played with the children there, soccer and some frisbee. then had briefing and practice for the school's visit. practiced the songs and then the skit. where leon could act so i had to replace him, anthea, andrina and gabriel were gangsters, kevin was the smoker, leon the drug dealer, and dilys the girlfriend. everyone was laughing lah. even the kids at ps suwanee's place were laughing cause it was just too funny. then we had dinner out at some chinese restaurant and then night bazaar shopping. i bought this beanie thingy- hahaha. and then back to ps suwanee's place to debrief and rest. there was hot water for bathing! then sleep. end of day 4 in missions.

day 5, 11th december. we woke up, this time to prayer with children cause it was their school day. we ate breakfast and then headed off to the Maechan school where most of the children from ps suwanee's place went to. it was their flag raising and they were having some sports day i think. then the children were taken to come to our programme. we had song session and then was some ice breaker games like bomb game and the number game. then was the skit. it was so funny i tell you. the first time we did it, the kids were laughing all the way. but thank god for Kun Ni, she was interpreting for us. then we had one more song presentation. conrad's testimony, then uncle daniel's sharing. it was super funny, about david and goliath. then art and craft, the 5 colour sharing worm and the cross. then made balloons and headed off to Ayo school. we had sugarcane on the way there. it was a new experience eating sugarcane raw, how to suck the juice out and then we popped by another tesco lotus branch to get some light lunch then headed off. we reached and we did the programme again, sang songs but we didnt have games cause the place was too small. then had the skit and a song presentation. thaddeus' testimony. then cmdr mark's sharing, and then was craft. the children were split and then had craft. we went out to do the cross and the 5 colour worms people stayed inside. made balloons for the children, then had their flag lowering session. then to Big C for dinner and shopping, had steamboat at MK restaurants, then we went walking around. edina went to wash her hair, then uncle daniel's bus left the last cause the 3 ER commanders went to buy a cake for abigail. then we reached back, washed up, had debrief and a birthday celebration, then prayer. then rest. end of day 5 in missions.

day 6, 12th dec. we woke up at around 5 and packed up, then ate breakfast and got ready to leave. we reached the airport, checked in and our flight was delayed from 835 till 9. so we had to wait so long. then reached bangkok round 10 plus, stored our bags and headed off to Seacon Square and had shopping there. i had lunch at MacDonalds, samurai pork burger, something you dont see in singapore. and MacDonalds in thailand is McThai Co. Ltd. hahaha. i didnt buy anything though, walked round just to get a drink in the end. shawn bought his mum a bag, i could find what my mum wanted. hahaha. then we headed back to the airport collected our bags and checked in. went for dinner at SKY LOFT, and we were eating and almost was late for our flight. the situation was classic. all 15 of us running to pass customs and hitch onto our flight back home. we caught the plane, praise the Lord (: otherwise we're be stuck there till i dunno when. the adults flight was delayed and the touched down at 3. for once the budget airlines didnt fail us. headed home, turned on the comp packed a bit and slept without turning off the comp. ps suwanee came to our place, its scary to have a pastor at home huh. well that roughly summed up the last day.

so the 2nd-12th of december, indeed was a fruitful trip. i have learnt things that i would not have gotten from singapore. i've learnt many things like how to be contented. the children there are even contented with the new toy they have and play with it for ages, people like us in singapore, play with it for 1 day and get bored. i've learnt and seen how God works. God's faithfulness has indeed been on this trip, no one was injured badly and even kerrie's fever was healed on the last day. the Lord's majesty has indeed been displayed for all to see and i cant stress how much i have been truly changed by the trip and this trip is just a starter, i believe, to the chain of mission trips i'd be going for. the trip has shown me how God works, we're never too young. i believe and pray that the Lord will continue to use each and everyone of the children whom we have ministered to to be great and mighty warriors for Him. i could go on ages repeating over and over the same things, because the Lord truly is beyond description, no amount of words can describe how he's changed my life.

and so, i'm back from thailand!
its great to be back, the experience there was WOW.

2nd dec, 1st day, we met at the budget terminal at round 4 in the morning, we checked in and cleared customs, then went on to board the flight from Singapore to Chiang Mai. we took Tiger Airways and reached around 8 plus in the morning. some ladies gave us garlands and took pictures with us, i suppose it was some welcome thingy. we were picked up by the tour group and then we headed off for breakfast, then city tour. we stopped by a shop that sold animal skin products, stingray skin, sheep skin, camel skin, elephant skin, crocodile skin. then we went to this jewellery shop, i think the commanders got our rings for christmas there. then we went to see kashmir silk, there was not much interesting stuff there. then we went to shinawatra silk, this place is owned by thaksin's granddad who came from china. they showed us the process of silk extraction, and then they also showed us how the silk was weaved. showed us how to test silk. bought this small lil elephant thingy. we headed then over to some painting shop, where they painted bamboo pencil holders, paper fans and umbrellas. there were also nice paintings over there, it was exquisite. then went to the hotel, put our stuff and went to a shopping mall. i think it was called central airport plaza, went shopping. shawn, leon and i were almost lost so we backtracked, and finally got out. edina was stuck inside cause the shop assistant had a misunderstanding with her. then returned to the hotel, and went out again for steamboat dinner at star hotel. the ladies at the airport found us, and the picture was nicely framed for like a 100 baht. hahah. then night bazzar shopping, i bought 2 handphone pouches, and a transformers t-shirt. then back to the hotel, got the keys from reception. they gave it so easily so we raised some concerns. next was debrief and night devotion, packed up a one set of clothes each for the night out and end of day 1.

3rd dec, 2nd day, we had morning devotion and then we stuffed our stuff into bags, like 2 people share a bag or 3 to a bag. leon, shawn and i put our stuff into leon's bag. we headed off in a song taews to our elephant ride location. on the way we stopped by this market for a short break and to get snacks for the hike. we continued and reached the elephant ride station. we were paired up, i got paired with dilys. and we got on this huge elephant, dilys was saying "oh mama" like almost throughout the ride :D i was laughing all the way. i wanted to sit on the elephant's head, but the driver didnt understand me so no choice): but well, i had loads of fun. when we started, there was a picture taken of us, and we were like, "its another 100 baht". then we passed through the roads on the elephants, through steep hills, its amazing how elephants are that agile. bought this bag of bananas and sugarcane to feed the elephant. then went through a river and soon it was the end of the ride. we took pictures with the baby elephant and continued on thee journey after getting our picture for a hundred baht. we went on the song taew to reach the place where we had our lunch. then we hiked to the waterfall, changed and then went into the water. the water was superbly cold, it was freezing inside. then we changed out of the wet clothes and continued on our journey up to the highest point of the hill. we then walked for quite some time, reached this place where they showed us the tools cannibals used to hunt. items like catapults, and something like a blow pipe. then we carried on till we reached Karen village. we had our night devotion, we ate our dinner cooked by the people there i think, and then it started to get cold in the evening. the people at Karen village started a fire for us to warm up. star gazed and also sang some songs. the children performed some songs for us, it was real cool, we performed back, and then when they were done, we had our own campfire and played some games, entertained by shawn and leon. it was uber funny lah. plus the 99 bottles of milk thingy, different types, beat box, opera, normal, army, all sorts of versions. then we went to sleep. it was so cold, many of us kept waking up during the night, trying to keep warm and all, but to no avail, couldnt go to the toilet cause there wasnt any light, so no choice, gotta try and snug up in bed. hahahah. well end of day 2.

4th dec, 3rd day began with all of us waking up relieved that we could now warm up with the fire. washed up and then morning devotion. we had breakfast, specially prepared, 4 pieces of bread each and some fruits. we hiked down, and it was seriously much easier and i would say it was enjoyable too. when we were hiking down, thank God for protection, cause there were no injuries, quite a handful number of people fell, cause of the rolling stones.then we stopped by this thai music instrument shop, which was like in the middle of the forest, and the instrument was quite cool, new to me. then we reached another place where it was almost time for us to take our song taew ride to the bamboo rafting place. there was this shoot out thingy there, 5 baht per bullet, so i had 4 times, of which only 1 hit. then it was time for us to leave, headed down to our bamboo rafting place, and 100 baht for the photo. hahaha. i grouped with rong sheng, leon and shawn. we had so much fun. sam and pearlene fell into the water cause they were playing and at still waters, we started splashing everyone else with water. the 4 of us in the raft lied down, sat down to wet ourselves before joining the war. haha. then at this point, we almost fell, the raft totally tilted one side, even our driver was half wet. haha. the experience really was very good. then we let ourselves dry and got our photo before proceeding to the hotel. edina's phone got wet in the process cause joyce wasnt supposed to get wet! hahah. we were drying her phone, it couldnt start, so my phone was used. hahah. we reached the hotel, shawn and i went for a swim. the water was so cold, we ended up having a feet massage in the jacuzzi part of the water. after half an hour or so, we bathed and changed. all of us went out for dinner, something like zhi cha, thai style, 1 fried fish, 1 steamed, tom yam soup, veg, and some others i cant remember what. then it was night bazaar shopping, free and easy. i went with shawn, dilys and andrina. got 2 sesame street shirts, 1 elmo and the other oscar. haha. shawn has the cookie monster one. hahahah. then we went back to the hotel, then the four of us were stuck outside our rooms cause the keys were with edina. thank God we kerrie and abigail were in their room, so the opened the door to let us watch tv. we sat outside and waited, but no one came up, so round the time we were supposed to meet, a call came telling us to go down for debrief. we were like -.- but well haha, yeah. debrief and then sleep. end of day 3.

5th dec, 4th day began, we got up, washed up, devotion, then headed to the hotel restaurant for breakfast, then headed off in song taews to the local market to look at the essential ingredients for thai cooking. then we had time to look around the area, to see how fish was killed and cut, to see different types of cooking herbs and spices and thai fruits. then headed down to Pad Thai School of Cookery. the instructor was pretty funny, she keeps saying "heh heh" so its really funny. we cooked Pad Thai, Spring Rolls, Tom Yam, Green Curry, Chicken with Cashew Nuts and Mango with Sticky Rice. it was really a good experience learning a new style of cooking, apart from those i know from home econs and those from cooking merit and dutch oven cooking merit. super flame was uber cool, everyone did it quite well, only kerrie fled from the scene when her fire started. hahaha. it was so funny lah. well then we headed down to the king's birthday celebration party in the city of Chiang Mai, got candles and listened and watched the procession pass, it was real cool to see how the people respected the king, we took pictures and all and then went back to the hotel, washed up, had debrief and then went out for supper at BK. then went back to rest, end of day 4.

6th dec, day 5, we were kept in suspense of what we were gonna do. woke up, washed up, went for devotion and breakfast, we were super late, so we rushed our food, went on the mini bus, to this place to white water raft. the experience was good, unlike the sec 3 camp one, we went down some major rapids, samantha fell out of her raft and their raft got stuck a couple of times. sucha happening raft. then we got another photo, 100 baht. then we changed out, had lunch at some commercial area where there were many elephants, plus there was a crew there filming a video. it was buffet lunch, then we headed off to this ATV riding place. it was really cool and according to cmdr wen kang, we were the first ER team in Asia to have 8 ATVs on the road at the same time. cool eh. then we were sent back to the hotel to put our stuff, then went out for dinner, some fishball noodles near BK. then walked around to find pearlene's present. then we had debrief and birthday celebration. that well, sums up the 5th day, great experience and great fun. end of the ER trip.

five good solid days spent, its amazing how God created the things we saw on the trip and truly, i'm changed by the way nature spoke to me. God created all this with his mighty hand. He could have left the world empty and just create humans only. but he chose not to, instead he created the earth and all the wonderful things like the sun, moon, stars, plants, animals, so people could enjoy what the Lord has made and give glory to His name. how great a God we serve. i am changed. i sure am by how awesome God's creation is. how majestic and intricate the works are. praise the Lord. let us all praise the Lord. plus the way God worked through the fund raising project, how he worked in ways we cannot see, how the Lord even took care of the small little things like the weather. the Lord indeed is faithful and His praise is on my lips. i just cant thank Him enough, the ways he showed Himself. really i believe that i have drawn closer to the Lord, He works in ways marvelously. i stand in awe.

lol hahah, i'm a happy free man :D

yesterday was well fun(: we went to conrad's place to prepare our food, and it was real good, seemed faster, everyone was doing work(: doing all the same things over and over again, lets hope i dont touch a chicken again or at least till next year.

edina and i went to get ice to keep the chicken cold and then shortening for the dutch ovens cause it wasnt enough, then headed down church, met the rest and helped prepare the salty dough for beggar's chicken.

we had mission trip meeting. practised the actions for the kids songs, the cut down version from the 33 we had on tuesday! it was really really fun :D leon's actions very super funny, so we were like laughing at him, making the funny muscle man pose when singing "my God is so big". so funny lah

we learnt a few songs in thai, it really sounds like cantonese (some dialect). and learnt some simple phrases, plus i've learnt i have to end with "khrap" all the time cause its how all guys supposed to end with. say "khaa" and you'd be a girl. wahahah. oh and we celebrated elhannah's birthday, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELHANNAH(:

the ERs then went for dinner! lionel accompanied us and he was doing this super cool trick, he was playing with fire, he could make fire come out from the paper towel roll by filling it with gas and then lighting it. he did it in his hand too, no burns though, like MAGIC!

during dinner, we were all like filling macs with the sound of our laughters and me and shawn were doing some "phone" jokes. he's my best buddy lah(: then went back, this morning woke up at say 515? round there.

dad sent me there and we picked norman up, headed down to aunty swee har's house to pick up the necessary stuff for cooking today's load of food. today was super cool too! we cooked up 14 beggar's chicken, with few super successful ones. cooked up 11 pots of claypot rice and we overcooked, so we ate the rest. then we baked 8 cakes, 2 extras. hahah. when i kope the pictures from dilys, i'd upload them.

i decided not to upload photos from last saturday's hike anymore, i'm too lazy to. but well nevermind. i took my jab yesterday at round 12, then at around 3 it started to hurt, even till the time i met dilys and norman for dinner. at first it was like an ant bite then it cramped up. then today when i woke up, felt super weak, and then feverish. i cant fall sick now, well at least for the time now till i come back from leaders' retreat on the 19th of dec.

so much so for trying to post pictures. stupid blogger keeps giving me some code saying the upload wont work. so whatever blogger -.-''' but well, the past 2 days were good. went to QBC yesterday, helped out in the archery side then went for bible emphasis and i think the topic's really interesting. hahah

today was also good, woke up in the morning, felt like doing nothing, so went to sleep till it was time to go get PSLE results with my sis. then went for my jab, for the time the needle went in, i was like an ant bite. 3 hours later, it started to cramp up, how cool. now its hurting, very much. then bible emphasis was good, continuation of yesterday's, still about end times a super interesting topic and signs to look out for.

the cruelty and frailty of life has been seen today. the release of PSLE results could actually bring one to a higher level or degrade totally. the marks determine you, thats the sad and cruel part of the academic world. marks can bring one a level higher to a good school, give one a greater challenge when competing with another but in the process dehumanizing a person when overwhelmed with the pressures and stress, creating nothing but a nuthead full of information and knowledge without a single tinge of EQ.

on the other hand, marks can bring one down or demoralize the person, making them lose all hope. the frailty of life is just depicted when one is discriminated because of the school one goes to or even the results one gets. take for example, the social stereotype of people in neighbourhood schools compared to those in prestigious ones. people in neighbourhood schools are bad. people in prestigious schools are good. grade the child according the his or her school? grade the child according to his or her marks?

like come on, the system wasnt like that years back. the ever changing society can jolly well get a life. why make things so hard? why so many schools to choose from? and what about choosing schools with your mark being neither here nor there? how difficult can things get? get back to the real life. its impossible and thats how the cookie crumbles. a strong willed child scarred for life.

well some thought to ponder about, hope whoever reading gets my point. well i think i make a good argumentative writer if i brush up my stands and my sentence phrasing plus my vocab scope. next year's gonna be tough, the big donuts are here, the 'O' levels are one thing and a challenge to go about, but well yeah, i know i can with Christ. he'll give me strength to finish up well. gotta go-

200th post!
now let it be both happy and sad.

i've realised i now a happier person, thank God for people who guide me along the way with positive stuff. God really has been good, i'm starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. thursday was well fun! going to school, editing videos and then prayer meeting and sms-ing those who ordered our food. yep, sat with norman and shawn during prayer meeting and i think it really was fun(:

then friday was also good, went to school then to AMK hub to get donovan an arsenal training shirt with ervin, michael and ervin, then went to macs. then ervin went to school, played dynasty warriors on melvin's PS2 at his house then left for donovan's house. we got lost somehow, then donovan's dad came to pick us at Rosyth School. then when we reached there, played on the Wii, then ate some food, left his house round 715. from serangoon ave 3, i walked to serangoon north with my 1kg bag and guitar. then during cell, we watched remember the titans, which was real cool. then home.

saturday was also great, met edina, conrad, rong sheng, chang xiang, norman and shawn for breakfast before going to bukit timah for hike. we got dispatched in twos, i got paired with norman, and it was real fun. dilys was sick so we had 1 musketeer down. then went to cmdr swee har's place to marinate chicken and all then we finished at 8 and then went to eat dinner, reached home at 10 i think. and dad's bought a new backpack for me, a blue one. :D

sunday was the best. we cooked out 12 beggar's chicken, 18 claypot rice and 11 cakes (cause 1 cake exploded). the joy covered the exasperation that i had. we did it, and to think on that on the first try out, some people did not believe we could do it. and one in particular, the beggar's chicken had a dough that was black, which was supposed to be the correct colour! when me and dilys saw it, we were like so happy lah. 2 weeks of try outs and marinations smells staying on hand paid off. plus the claypot rice was good to the taste, though some said the rice not cooked enough. then service was good, about OUTWARD SUCCESS IS THE RESULT OF A STRONG INNER LIFE. i realise how true this is and we need SPIRITUAL DISCIPLINE. whether or not we get irritated easily, whether we are positive or not really depends on how strong a discipline we have. prayer was barely okay, tiredness some might say, but it shouldnt be an excuse to escape prayer anyway.
